Overview

Malaysia is one of Southeast Asia’s best-kept secrets for honeymooners. It has everything — glittering city skylines, misty highland retreats, turquoise island waters, incredible food, and some of the warmest hospitality in Asia. And it’s just a short flight from India.

Itinerary

Day 01Arrive in Kuala Lumpur | City Lights & First Night Together

Kuala Lumpur International Airport is one of Asia’s best-connected hubs. On arrival, our driver will be waiting to whisk you to your hotel in the heart of the city. Check in, freshen up, and step out into one of Asia’s most vibrant and romantic cities.

KL has a wonderful evening energy — rooftop bars, great food, beautifully lit skylines, and neighbourhoods like Bukit Bintang that are made for couples to wander through. Spend the evening on your own terms. Have dinner at a rooftop restaurant with views of the Petronas Towers, or simply stroll through the lit-up streets.

Today’s Schedule:

  • Arrive at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL)
  • Meet your private driver for airport transfer to your city hotel
  • Hotel check-in and freshen up
  • Free evening — explore Bukit Bintang, rooftop dinner, or KLCC Park
  • Optional: Visit Aquaria KLCC or Sky Bar for a romantic first night
  • Overnight stay in Kuala Lumpur

Day 02 Kuala Lumpur City Tour | Twin Towers, Culture & Cuisine

Today you explore Kuala Lumpur with your guide. The city is beautifully diverse — a mix of Malay, Chinese, and Indian cultures all coexisting in one extraordinary place. Each stop gives you a different layer of the city’s personality.

Start with the Petronas Twin Towers — the world’s tallest twin towers and the defining image of modern Malaysia. Visit the Skybridge on the 41st floor for stunning views over the city. Then head to KLCC Park, the beautiful green space directly in front of the towers, perfect for quiet walks and couple photographs.

From there, visit Batu Caves — a series of limestone caves and cave temples set inside a dramatic rocky hill, with 272 colourful steps leading up to the main cave. It’s a genuine cultural and architectural experience unlike anything else in Southeast Asia.

Continue to Petaling Street (Chinatown) for an afternoon of street food, colour, and local shopping. End the day at the KL Tower Observation Deck for panoramic 360-degree views of the city as the sun sets.

Today’s Schedule:

  • Petronas Twin Towers & Skybridge (41st floor) — iconic KL experience
  • KLCC Park — couple walk around the tower lake
  • Batu Caves — colourful temple caves with dramatic staircase
  • Petaling Street (Chinatown) — street food, shopping, and culture
  • KL Tower Observation Deck — sunset city views
  • Evening at leisure — Bukit Bintang night market or rooftop bar
  • Overnight stay in Kuala Lumpur

Day 03Kuala Lumpur → Genting Highlands | Above the Clouds

After breakfast, check out from your KL hotel and head up to Genting Highlands — a cool, lush mountain resort city sitting at 1,800 metres above sea level. The journey by cable car (Awana Skyway) is one of the most thrilling and romantic rides in Malaysia. You glide up through the cloud forest canopy in a glass-floored gondola, with sweeping views of the rainforest below.

Genting Highlands has an almost magical quality — misty, cool, dramatically elevated, and set against dense rainforest. Check in to your mountain resort, enjoy the refreshing air, and spend the afternoon exploring the resort area. Stroll the Sky Avenue shopping and dining boulevard, catch a couple’s spa session, or simply sit on your balcony watching the clouds drift through the forest.

Evenings in Genting are romantic and quiet — warm food, cool breezes, and complete privacy from the outside world.

Today’s Schedule:

  • Check out from Kuala Lumpur hotel after breakfast
  • Drive to Awana Cable Car station — approximately 45 minutes
  • Awana Skyway cable car ride to Genting Highlands (glass-floor gondola)
  • Check-in to mountain resort hotel
  • Explore Sky Avenue — dining, shopping, and entertainment boulevard
  • Optional: Couples spa or evening sky walk
  • Overnight stay at Genting Highlands

Day 04Genting → Kuala Lumpur → Fly to Langkawi | Island Paradise Awaits

Check out after breakfast and descend back to Kuala Lumpur for your onward flight to Langkawi. The flight is short — approximately 55 minutes — and the arrival into Langkawi is stunning: a small island airport surrounded by emerald water and jungle-covered hills.

Langkawi is an archipelago of 99 islands off the northwest coast of Malaysia. The main island is lush, largely undeveloped, and blessed with some of the most beautiful beaches in Southeast Asia. Check in to your beachfront resort and spend the afternoon settling in, taking a walk along the beach, and unwinding after the journey.

In the evening, Langkawi is at its most magical — warm amber sunsets over the Andaman Sea, gentle waves, and a pace of life that feels completely unhurried. Dinner by the beach or at your resort is the perfect way to spend your first Langkawi evening.

Today’s Schedule:

  • Check out from Genting Highlands resort after breakfast
  • Transfer to Kuala Lumpur airport (KUL) — approximately 1.5 hours
  • Fly to Langkawi (LGK) — approximately 55 minutes
  • Private transfer to your Langkawi beachfront resort
  • Check-in and settle in — afternoon at leisure on the beach
  • Sunset walk along the beach or evening boat watch
  • Dinner at your resort or a beachside restaurant
  • Overnight stay in Langkawi

Day 05 Langkawi Full Day | Island Hopping, Cable Car & Sunset Cruise

This is the centrepiece day of your Langkawi experience. Start with the Langkawi Cable Car (Panorama Langkawi) — a 15-minute gondola ride up Gunung Machinchang (the oldest rock formation in Southeast Asia) to an observation deck with staggering views across the islands and the Andaman Sea. Don’t miss the Sky Bridge — a curved pedestrian bridge suspended 700 metres above sea level, one of the most dramatic structures in Asia.

After lunch, head out for island hopping by private speedboat. Langkawi’s surrounding islands are extraordinary — crystal-clear water, hidden lagoons, dramatic rock formations rising from the sea. Visit Pulau Beras Basah (Eagle Beach) for a swim, Pulau Dayang Bunting (Island of the Pregnant Maiden Lake) for a fresh water lagoon swim in the jungle, and watch the famous Langkawi eagle that gives Eagle Square its name.

Cap the day with a Sunset Cruise on the Andaman Sea — widely considered one of the most romantic experiences in Malaysia. Watch the sky turn from gold to deep crimson over the water. Most couples say this is the highlight of the entire trip.

Today’s Schedule:

  • Langkawi Cable Car (Panorama Langkawi) — mountain views over the archipelago
  • Sky Bridge — 700m-high suspended bridge over the rainforest
  • Lunch at a beach café or local restaurant
  • Island Hopping by speedboat — Pulau Beras Basah, Pulau Dayang Bunting, Eagle viewing
  • Sunset Cruise on the Andaman Sea — the highlight of Langkawi
  • Dinner at a beachfront restaurant
  • Overnight stay in Langkawi

Day 06 Langkawi | Slow Morning & Departure

Check out from your Langkawi resort after a relaxed breakfast. If your flight is in the afternoon, spend a final hour on the beach or at the resort pool before your transfer to Langkawi Airport.

Your private driver will take you to the airport with comfortable time to spare. From Langkawi, you’ll fly back to Kuala Lumpur for your international connection home.

You’ll leave Malaysia with a tan, a full memory card, and the kind of deep, rested happiness that only the right holiday can give you. Most couples start planning a return trip before they’ve even boarded the plane.

Today’s Schedule:

  • Slow breakfast at your resort
  • Final morning on the beach or at the pool
  • Hotel check-out
  • Private transfer to Langkawi Airport (LGK)
  • Fly to Kuala Lumpur (KUL) for international connection

Practical Tips for Couples Visiting Malaysia
  • Carry light, breathable clothing for KL and Langkawi — the weather is warm and humid. Add a light jacket for Genting Highlands, which can get quite cold at night.
  • Comfortable walking shoes are essential — temple steps, cable car walks, and beachside markets all require easy footwear.
  • Dress modestly when entering places of worship — covered shoulders and knees are expected at mosques and Hindu temples like Batu Caves.
  • Currency: Malaysian Ringgit (MYR). ₹1 = approximately RM 0.056. ATMs are widely available and most hotels accept credit cards.
  • Your Indian SIM card may work in Malaysia on international roaming — check with your provider. Local SIMs are available at the airport for around RM30.
  •  Langkawi is duty-free — alcohol, chocolates, perfumes, and imported goods are significantly cheaper. Great for honeymoon indulgences.
  • Photography is welcome at most outdoor sites. Always check before photographing inside mosques or restricted temple areas.
  • Tipping is not mandatory in Malaysia but always appreciated at restaurants and by guides and drivers.
  • Don’t over-schedule evenings — the best honeymoon moments in Malaysia often come from a slow walk along a lit-up waterfront, not a packed itinerary.

FAQs

Is this Malaysia honeymoon package only for newlyweds?

Not at all. While the itinerary is designed with couples in mind, it works perfectly for any two people travelling together — whether you’re newly married, celebrating an anniversary, or simply on a romantic trip. The pacing, hotel choices, and activities suit couples at every stage.

Do Indian citizens need a visa to visit Malaysia?

Yes. Indian passport holders require a Malaysia e-Visa, which can be applied for online before travel. The process is straightforward and does not require a visit to the embassy. We can guide you through the application process when you book. Visa fees are not included in the package price.

How do we get to Kuala Lumpur from India?

Multiple airlines operate direct flights from Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Kochi to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL). AirAsia, Malaysia Airlines, and IndiGo are popular options. Flight time from Mumbai is approximately 4–5 hours. International flights are not included in the land package, but we can assist with booking.

What is the total cost of a Malaysia honeymoon from India?

The land package starts at ₹35,000 per person, covering accommodation, daily breakfast, domestic flights, transport, guide, and entry tickets. For a couple, the total land cost is approximately ₹70,000 for the base package. International flights (approximately ₹12,000–₹22,000 per person), visa fees, and personal expenses are additional. We’ll give you a complete, itemised cost estimate when you share your travel dates and preferences.

What is the best time to visit Malaysia for a honeymoon?

February to April (dry season) is ideal across all three destinations in this itinerary. September to November is also excellent. Langkawi’s best weather is from November to April on the west coast. Kuala Lumpur and Genting Highlands are year-round destinations. The monsoon season (May–October on the west coast) can bring rain but also lush, green landscapes and fewer crowds.

Is the Petronas Towers Skybridge visit included?

The standard package includes a view of the Petronas Towers from KLCC Park and the surrounding area. The Skybridge ticket (Level 41) and Observation Deck (Level 86) can be added as an optional extra. We recommend booking in advance as tickets sell out, especially on weekends.

Is Malaysia safe for couples travelling from India?

Yes. Malaysia is consistently ranked as one of the safest and most tourist-friendly countries in Southeast Asia. Crime rates in tourist areas are low, the country is well-connected, English is widely spoken, and Malaysian hospitality is warm and genuine. Indian couples travel to Malaysia regularly and comfortably.

Can we choose our hotels?

Absolutely. We will share curated options in each location — boutique city hotels, cloud resort in Genting, and beachfront resorts in Langkawi — with pricing at each level. You choose what fits your budget and style. If you want a private villa in Langkawi or a luxury tower hotel in KL, we can arrange that.

Are there special arrangements for honeymooners?

Yes. We can arrange flower and balloon room decoration on arrival, a private candlelight beach dinner in Langkawi, a couples’ spa session, a private sunset cruise upgrade, and a traditional Malaysian dress photoshoot. Just mention it’s a honeymoon when you enquire and we’ll add the right personal touches.

Can the itinerary be customised?

Completely. If you’d like to spend more time in Langkawi, skip Genting, add Penang, or include a Kuala Lumpur cooking class — we can adjust the plan around what you actually want. Every package we offer is shaped around the couple, not a fixed template. Tell us your preferences at the time of enquiry.

What currency is used in Malaysia?

The local currency is the Malaysian Ringgit (MYR). As of 2025, ₹1 INR = approximately RM 0.056. ATMs are widely available in KL, Genting, and Langkawi. Credit cards are accepted at all hotels and most restaurants, but cash is useful for local markets and smaller shops. Langkawi is duty-free, so carry enough cash to take advantage of great deals on chocolates, alcohol, and imported goods.

What language do people speak in Malaysia? Will there be a communication problem?

English is very widely spoken across Malaysia, especially in tourist areas, hotels, and restaurants. You’ll have no difficulty communicating. Bahasa Malaysia is the national language, but virtually everyone working in tourism speaks English fluently. Menus, signage, and transport are all in English.
